Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Sutraa ("the Service", "our app", "the platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Sutraa. Your continued use of the platform indicates your acceptance of any updates or changes to these terms.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use Sutraa. By using our platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

No Professional Advice: Sutraa does not provide professional relationship counseling, psychological advice, medical guidance, or life coaching. Our astrological insights are not a substitute for professional consultation.
Personal Responsibility: You are solely responsible for all decisions you make regarding relationships, dating, and personal life choices. Sutraa is not responsible for any relationship outcomes, emotional distress, or life decisions made based on astrological information.
Data Accuracy: The accuracy of astrological profiles and compatibility scores depends entirely on the accuracy of birth details you provide. We cannot guarantee accurate results if incorrect information is provided.
No Guarantees: We make no guarantees about finding matches, relationship success, or any specific outcomes from using our platform.

Limitation of Liability

Use at Your Own Risk: Sutraa cannot and will not be held responsible for poor relationship decisions, emotional distress, financial losses, or any negative consequences resulting from your use of our platform or astrological guidance. Users must exercise their own judgment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.

User Accounts & Registration

Account Creation

Gmail Authentication: You must use a valid Gmail account to register
Accurate Information: You must provide accurate birth details for astrological calculations
One Account Per Person: Each person may only maintain one active account
Real Identity: You must use your real name and authentic photos

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

Birth Details Accuracy

Since our matching algorithm relies on Vedic astrology, the accuracy of your birth date, time, and location is crucial. Providing incorrect birth information will result in inaccurate compatibility scores and may affect your matching experience.

Prohibited Activities

To maintain a safe and respectful community, the following activities are strictly prohibited:

Creating fake profiles or impersonating others

Harassment, bullying, or threatening behavior

Sharing inappropriate or explicit content

Attempting to bypass age verification (must be 18+)

Using the platform for commercial or promotional purposes

Sharing personal contact information in profiles or messages

Attempting to scam or defraud other users

Using automated tools, bots, or scripts

Consequences of Violations

Violations of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination, removal of content, and in severe cases, reporting to law enforcement authorities.

Content Guidelines

Acceptable Content

Authentic photos that clearly show your face
Truthful and respectful profile descriptions
Appropriate and non-explicit imagery
Respectful communication with other users

Prohibited Content

Explicit, sexual, or inappropriate images
Copyrighted material you don't own
Hate speech, discriminatory language, or offensive content
Spam, promotional content, or advertisements
Contact information (phone numbers, email addresses, social media)
Content that violates any applicable laws

Content Monitoring

All photos are automatically analyzed using Google Vision API, and messages are screened using OpenAI Moderation API to ensure compliance with our guidelines. Our human moderation team reviews reported content within 24 hours.

Payment & Subscription Terms

Premium Features

Sutraa offers both free and premium features. Premium subscriptions provide additional functionality and enhanced matching capabilities.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay
Subscription fees are charged in advance for the selected period
All fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

Account Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by using the delete account feature in your settings. Upon termination, your profile, messages, and personal data will be permanently deleted.

Termination by Sutraa

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for any of the following reasons:

Violation of community guidelines

Providing false information during registration

Harassment or abusive behavior toward other users

Attempting to use the platform while under 18

Commercial use or spam activities

Any illegal activities or content

Effect of Termination

Upon termination for cause, you forfeit any remaining subscription time and access to premium features. Your content and data will be deleted according to our data retention policies.

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

Sutraa and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to Sutraa. However, by uploading content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and improving our services.

Astrological Calculations

Our proprietary algorithms for Vedic astrological calculations and compatibility analysis are protected intellectual property. You may not reverse engineer, copy, or attempt to extract our astrological computation methods.

Limitation of Liability

IMPORTANT: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SUTRAA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Emotional distress or relationship problems
Financial losses resulting from dating decisions
Harm from interactions with other users
Inaccurate astrological guidance or compatibility scores
Technical issues or service interruptions
Loss of data or content

Maximum Liability

In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you paid to Sutraa in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Governing Law & Disputes

Applicable Law

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Sutraa is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

Dispute Resolution

We encourage users to contact us first to resolve any disputes. For formal disputes, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing litigation.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

Notify users through the app and email
Update the "Last Updated" date
Provide a summary of significant changes
Allow time for review before changes take effect

Your continued use of Sutraa after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
