First Date Safety

When you're ready to meet someone from Sutraa in person, follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:

Before the Date

  • Choose a public place with good lighting and other people around
  • Inform a trusted friend or family member about your plans
  • Plan your own transportation to and from the date
  • Keep the first meeting short (coffee, lunch, etc.)

During the Date

  • Stay in public areas and avoid going to private locations
  • Don't leave your drink unattended or accept drinks from strangers
  • Trust your instincts - if you feel uncomfortable, leave
  • Keep your phone charged and easily accessible

Trust Your Intuition

If at any point you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or pressured, it's okay to end the date early. Your safety is more important than being polite. Consider having a safety word or code with a friend who can call you if needed.

Report & Block Features

How to Report a User

  1. Open the user's profile
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top right
  3. Select "Report User"
  4. Choose the reason for reporting
  5. Provide additional details if needed
  6. Submit the report

Response Time: Our safety team reviews all reports within 24 hours and takes immediate action when violations are confirmed.

Blocking Users

Blocked users cannot see your profile, send you messages, or appear in your matches.

To block: Go to their profile → three-dot menu → "Block User"

What Happens After Reporting

Reported users are immediately flagged for review and may be temporarily restricted while we investigate.

Confirmed violations result in account suspension or permanent ban.

  • • Don't share financial information or account details
  • • Be suspicious of requests for personal information
  • • Video chat before meeting to verify identity
  • • Research suspicious photos using reverse image search
  • • Report and block users who ask for money
  • • Trust your instincts if something feels wrong

If You've Been Scammed

If you believe you've been targeted by a scammer, immediately report the user to us and consider reporting to your local authorities. If you've sent money, contact your bank or payment provider immediately to report the fraud.
